The Third Annual Morristown Hillbilly Chili Cook-off

This event is a competitive,fun,community fundraising event for the sole purpose of bringing people together to support our community! The even will feature great chili creations by competitors from all over east Tennessee. There will be antique & craft vendors galore, live music, the Rainbow River Gem Mine, Inflatables for the kids, a chili-eating contest, an exhibit from the Tennessee National Guard and all Downtown Morristown merchants will all be open for a great shopping experience.

Live Entertainment!

There will be entertainment form venues such as country bluegrass and Southern Gospel. You may even get to enjoy a little music from down Mexico way.


Chili Cook-off Competition

There will be several different categories for the competition, business, food service professionals, church groups, civic groups and individuals will all be available categories to compete in.There will be three different chili classifications to choose from, “Red Chili”, “White Chili” and a “Vegetarian Chili”. Contestants may compete in more tan one classification with separate registrations. Chili will be judged by a panel of judges and YOU, the people attending the event will get to vote for the coveted “People’s Choice” award. Come and enjoy a great day of fun, shopping and chili-tasting at the Third Annual Morristown Hillbilly Chili Cook-off!!

Armbands will be $5.00 per person allowing you to try and vote on all of the available chili as long as it lasts. The event will run from 11:00am to 3:00pm

Proceeds from the Morristown Hillbilly Chili Cook-off will benefit the Hamblen County Substance Abuse Coalition, Incorporated in their efforts to provide substance abuse prevention for the residents of Morristown and Hamblen County.
